The Perth Airport Premium Carpark project involved creating shade structure to cover a number of sections of the airport’s Terminal 3 and 4 parking areas.
Employing the premium-quality MakMax TensoCar range of carpark shade structures, we installed approx. 15,000 square metres of shade, enough to cover 850 parking spaces in the Premium Carpark and Undercover long term carpark.
The Concept
Using a combination of Single Bay, Double Bay and Double Bay with Walkway designs, we were able to maximise the shade coverage into every corner, curve and run of the multiple car parking lots.
The Materials
Hardwearing HDG steel supports and robust corrosion-resistant cable shackles connected right to the ends of the rafters means our TensoCar structures at Perth Airport will survive the intense WA Sunshine and high-traffic zone at the airport for many years to come.
The Charcoal coloured Commercial 430 HDPE by Gale Pacific is a strong, architectural-grade shade mesh, and was installed by our expert tensioned membrane specialist partners, Sky Skills Industries.
