Bespoke Wire & Rope offer a range of installation services for the tensile membrane industry. MakMax has worked with Bespoke Wire & Rope as our installation crew on a number of projects, from small umbrella job to major stadiums, and everything in between.
Bowls Australia is the national sporting organisation responsible for the leadership, development and management of lawn bowls in Australia. MakMax Australia is a Preferred Partner of Bowls Australia, providing shade and weather protection services and products to the organisation.
Club Helensvale chose MakMax Australia to design and construct a world class bowling green canopy for the club’s members and guests to enjoy for many years to come. The middle green canopy will begin development in late 2022 and opened for play in September 2023. Work will soon begin on a second canopy at the club.
Barrie Lester is an Australian Jackaroo, four-time Commonwealth Games medalist, BPL winner with the Melbourne Pulse, and part of the winning Men’s 4’s team at the 2023 Australian Open. Barries simple, yet effective philosophy of BLEST, which stands for Bowls, Leadership, Excellence, Skills & Training, has seen him succeed in this sport and he uses this very same philosophy to share the love of the sport with others.
Chadstone Bowls Club
MakMax has designed and developed a unique one-of-a-kind Bowling Green Canopy for Chadstone Bowls Club as part of the Stonington Council’s revival of the Percy Treyvaud Memorial Park sporting facilities.
The new state-of-the-art nest for the Chadstone Eagles will welcome the flock back home at the end of October 2023, and MakMax looks forward to supporting the club for many successful seasons to come.
Karingal Bowling Club
Home to the “Rolls Royce” of Bowling Canopies, Karingal Bowling Club in Frankston is home to the Skyedome PTFE Canopy.
MakMax is proud to support Karingal Bowls Club’s annual Skyedome Superleague competition, an 8-week round-robin style nighttime bowls league.
City of Geelong Bowls Club
The only club in the Geelong region with a full-cover bowling green canopy over one of its greens, the City of Geelong Bowls Club grew out of a merger between two of Geelong’s oldest clubs, Geelong West and Drumcondra.
Installed in 2018, the 1950 sqm PTFE bowling green canopy has created a fantastic facility for the City of Geelong club members.
Playford Bowling Club
Australia’s largest undercover lawn bowls facility, Playford Bowling Club is home to an impressive Triple-Green Bowling Canopy.
Playford Bowling Club also recently launch their new blue “greens”, a synthetic surface in a world-first iconic blue colour.

Famous for it’s “Barefoot Bowls” Merthyr Bowls Club is perched on the banks of the Brisbane River and just moments from picturesque New Farm Park.

STA (Specialised Textiles Association)
Specialised Textiles Association (STA), was established in the 1940 shortly after the Second World War (under the name of Canvas Manufactures Association) by a group of fabricators and the owners of two large weaving and finishing mills with the objective of promoting industry standards and ethics, lobbying Government and providing a forum for the exchange of ideas.
LSAA (Lightweight Structures Association of Australasia)
The Lightweight Structures Association is a Not for Profit, autonomous, inter-disciplinary group of interested parties involved in the field of lightweight structures. The LSAA basic aim is to promote the proper application of lightweight structures, their design, fabrication, construction and materials, and the development of these and other aspects particular to lightweight structures.
ATA (Advanced Textiles Association)
ATA is a member-owned, member-driven trade association representing the global industrial fabrics industry. Founded in 1912 as the IFAI, the organisation rebranded to ATA (Advanced Textiles Association) in 2022 to more accurately represent the wide variety advanced materials that ATA members were manufacturing and applying in various global projects. ATA is the only trade association in the world representing the entire specialty fabrics/technical textiles industry.
TensiNet is a multi-disciplinary association for parties interested in tensioned membrane and foil construction.
The aim of TensiNet is to enable its members to contribute more effectively, within the scope of their activities, to provide information and advice in the field of tensile membrane buildings, inform members about research and other technical studies necessary to improve the quality of tensile membrane buildings
