Quasar Modular Shade Structure

Quasar Modular Shade Structure

‘Hypar’ Design Shade Structure

When you want shade with style, the Quasar Modular Structure utilises a ‘hypar’ design to create an aesthetically pleasing shade solution.

Popular with resorts, shopping centres, swimming pools and leisure centres, as well as community shade projects for parks and playgrounds, the Quasar comes in a range of sizes to suit the required shade protection.

The unique geometry of the Quasar is also attractive and eye catching when multiple units are installed in the same area.

Completely weather-proof, Quasar Modulars include galvanised steel cables with stainless steel fittings and a UV stabilised membrane.

CUSTOMISATION

  • Multiple units can be linked together to increase the shade and weather protected area.
  • Column height design can be adapted to suit your location.
  • Side supported columns can create an unobstructed shade area beneath the canopy.
  • Lighting and electrical connectivity available.

Linking Options

With in-house engineering expertise and a clever modular design, the Quasar Modular Shade Structure can be linked in multiple configurations to create expansive shaded areas.

When in a linked configuration, each frame is engineered with corner connection points, allowing several modules to be joined seamlessly beneath a single, continuous PVC canopy. Linking is possible with either the Catenary Edge or Linear Edge models.

Combine two or three units for a generous outdoor dining space, or link a full row of modules to form a striking covered walkway that ties your outdoor areas together.

Hyperbolic Parabaloid

The Hyperbolic Paraboloid, or ‘hypar’ shape is used frequently in membrane shade structures.

The opposing high and low connection points help to hold the membrane under tension and create a strong, stable structure.
