Leisurelink Splash Park Canopy is a 1400 square metre wave-shaped PVC canopy over the outdoor fun-zone. Located at the multi-use Leisurelink Aquatic and Recreation Centre in Waurn Ponds, a suburb of Geelong, the outdoor waterpark features waterslides, an adventure playground and a splash pad.
The Concept
Designed to look like a breaking wave spilling out of the aquatic centre, the flexible nature of the PVC tensile membrane roof helped to create the unique geometry of the final structure.
