Sunnybank Hills Rooftop Carpark

Rooftop carpark present an interesting challenge – typically reaction loads presented by cantilever tensile structures required moderately deep-set footing to create a stable structure. Installing footings into a floating slab, like a rooftop carpark can prove difficult.

To avoid over-stressing the slab at for the Sunnybank Hills Rooftop Carpark, we presented a Retro Arch version of our TensoCar Carpark Shade system.

Offering all the features of the Double Arch, the Retro Arch utilises widely spaced external legs, which are designed to minimize the transfer of reaction loads from the structure into the suspended slab.

Using perimeter legs has the added advantage of requiring thinner steel columns, thus creating a light, elegant looking structure with less supporting cross beams.
