At Parramatta Marist High School, four Monaco Modular Shade Structures were introduced as part of a newly created central garden area designed for lunch and break times. The Parramatta Marist HS shade installation forms a shaded outdoor hub that complements the school’s broader redevelopment works.

The Monaco system’s inherent flexibility allowed the standard pre-designed models to be tailored for the site. Each structure was modified with extended central columns, providing 3 metres of clear space beneath the canopy. This adjustment improves circulation, sightlines, and overall usability for students and staff.

The permanent umbrella-style structures feature black-painted steel columns and framing, creating a crisp visual contrast against the selected membrane colours. The canopies are fabricated from Serge Ferrari Soltis 502 PVC in Champagne and Buttercup Yellow, with two structures in each colour, introducing a bright yet refined aesthetic to the landscaped setting.

Engineered, fabricated, and installed onsite during the wider construction programme, the Monaco shade structures were rapidly assembled, allowing smooth integration with the overall build schedule.

The Parramatta Marist HS shade project delivers a functional shaded retreat that supports outdoor learning, social interaction, and weather protection throughout the school day.
