The Holiday Inn Suva Umbrellas are a well-earned refresh to the resort’s sunny poolside and outdoor dining areas. In January 2024, seven bright white Centra CTS43 Architectural Umbrellas were installed across the resort grounds, replacing the MakMax umbrellas that had served the property for an impressive 21 years.
The Centra Truncated Square design offers the perfect blend of our square and octagonal models; the generous coverage of a square umbrella with the attractive styling of an octagonal. Each unit is covered in durable PVC and supported by a robust steel frame, making them perfectly suited to the tropical resort environment.
The upgrade quickly proved its value, enhancing both guest comfort and the overall resort aesthetic. Following the success of the initial installation, a further three umbrellas were ordered in November 2025 for the hotel’s brand-new over-water pizza deck, extending shaded seating to this distinctive dining space.
With their balance of durability, coverage, and visual appeal, MakMax umbrellas continue to deliver long-term performance in demanding resort environments over many, many years.
