The Aquinas Catholic College TensoView spectator shade structures boast a light-weight minimalist design, and provide both function and style to the schools playing fields. The cantilever columns support the arched canopy over the bleaches, protecting spectators from sun and rain, while the positioning at the top of the viewing area offers the best viewing angles of the field.
The Concept
Versatility and adaptability are at the core of TensoView’s design. Available in a range of sizes and configurations, the Aquinas Catholic College TensoView can be tailor-made to suit a schools specific needs and preferences.
The Aquinas Catholic College TensoView shades were installed here in two separate sections, a 300 square metre elbow-shape in the corner of the playing field, and a 400 square metre straight sideline shade structure.
The Materials
Beyond their eye-catching aesthetics, the Aquinas Catholic College TensoView structures are coated in durable architectural PVC for long-lasting performance.
With sun-safety a concern for the school, the TensoView is made with premium materials that offer robust protection against harmful ultraviolet rays. The shade’s UV-resistant fabric shields spectators from the sun’s rays, allowing them to bask in the excitement of the game without compromising their well-being.
The Result
Built in two stages between 2010 and 2011, the sleek and modern Aquinas Catholic College TensoView spectator stands create a cool, inviting atmosphere, adding a touch of elegance to the sports field ambiance.
The success of the TensoView spectator shade structures led to the school installing an additional COLA (covered outdoor learning area) shade structure the following year (2012).
