MakMax Australia has just been awarded the contract to engineer, fabricate and certify the new bowls roof for Cooktown Bowls Club.
As a first for the industry, the new structure will be engineered for cyclonic conditions, able to withstand Wind Speeds of up to 68.8 metres per second. It is expected to provide much needed relief for the North Queensland club often plagued by cyclones.
The 1600 square metre structure will utilise Chukoh FGT800 PTFE Fabric and feature free spanning columns of 40 metres.
