Healsville Sanctuary

This PVC roof form is designed to work as a solar chimney, removing hot air from inside the building on which it sits. This provides passive ventalation to the gallery space, removing the need for air conditioning. At the centre of the space the roof form descenfs to floor level to enclose a central spcae in which multimedia presentations are projected into its surface. Constructed from a shimmering gold PVC membrane, the structure will be visible from the surrounding landscape.
